- The key to VIScorp' set top box seems to be that with the Amiga OS, they
- don't need as much ram. OK. But the price of ram is falling fast now, so
- dosn't that mean that the marginal advatage of the VIScorp ED is lessened?
- It could be that VIScorp' management may come to view the Amiga as a
- hedge aginst plan "A" not being as profitable or competative as expected.
- I am modestly hopeful, but I note that the Carl Sassenrath is a tech
- person, and tech persons don't necessarily have to much to say about what
- gets done in a company. The CEO, the COO, and the CFO of VIScorp, are all
- cable TV guys, and don't necessarily care didly about what happens to the
- Amiga.
- Even if William Buch makes some generous statement about the future of the
- Amiga, it dosn't necessarily meam much. Companies are like liveing organisms
- in that they can only do what the available resources allow them to do. What
- I really want to know is:
-
-
- 1. How much money do they have?
-
-
- 2. Who free is VIScorp to allocate that money within the company?
